Referral program

1. Who can refer

Any De Leone client with a client account can refer a business. Your referral link is in your account, under Refer a business. It is yours, and it does not change.

2. How a referral is recorded

• A business is referred when it gets in touch with us through your link (an address like deleoneai.com/r/ followed by your code).
• When someone follows your link, their own browser remembers your code for 60 days, in a small first-party cookie set by deleoneai.com. There are no third-party cookies, and nothing is shared with anyone else. If they follow more than one referral link, the last one they followed counts.
• We may also record a referral by hand, when a business tells us who sent them.
• A business can be referred once. A business that is already working with us, or already paying us, cannot be referred.

3. What the business you refer gets

The business you refer gets 15% off their first 3 months of their monthly plan with us. It is taken off automatically when they start their plan, from their first invoice; there is no code to type.

If their plan already has a lower price for its first month, they get whichever of the two saves them more over those first 3 months; the two are not combined. Their account shows them which one applies before they pay.

4. What you get

• The moment the business you referred pays their first invoice, a $100 credit goes on your De Leone billing account, and we email you to say so.
• The credit comes off your next invoice automatically. If an invoice is smaller than your credit, what is left comes off the invoice after it.
• If you do not have a plan with us yet, the credit is kept for you and applied as soon as your plan starts.
• One credit per referred business, ever, however many invoices they pay.
• The credit can only be used on De Leone invoices. It has no cash value: it cannot be paid out, exchanged for cash, or transferred to anyone else. If your plan ends, unused credit stays on your billing account for future invoices with us; it is not refunded.

5. Refunds and chargebacks

If the first payment of the business you referred is refunded in full, or disputed with their bank, within 30 days, the referral is closed and an unused credit is taken back. A credit that has already come off one of your invoices stays where it is.

6. Fair use

You cannot refer yourself or your own business: a referral from the same client, the same email address, or an email address at the same company is not a referral. Referrals must be honest: no spam, no misleading claims about De Leone, and no accounts made up to earn credits. We may close a referral, or take back a credit, that breaks these rules.

7. Privacy

We do not tell the business you refer that it was you: they are told only that a De Leone client referred them. Your account shows each referral as a business you referred, with its stage and its date, and nothing of theirs. Our Privacy Policy covers the cookie described above and everything else we keep.

8. Changes and questions

We may change or end the referral program. A credit already earned before a change is still given. These terms add to our Terms of Service; for the referral program, where the two differ, these apply.
